The Museum Leather Company, based in London, England, offers a unique range of truly derived leather products ranging from small pick up items to large jewellery boxes, including key fobs, post-it note covers, paperweights, small leather goods, trinket boxes and photo frames, all at very attractive prices.
The Museum Leather Company is a wholly subsidiary of Leather UnLimited which is a Fair Trade company. We have worked with our suppliers in Bangladesh since 1988 ensuring that they are correctly remunerated for their work, whilst giving them design assistance and marketing their hand made products around the world.
For many years we made stock ranges of leather goods for the gift industry, as well as manufacturing corporate gifts and supplying a few high quality mail order companies.
We have worked with museums since 1992 and created the trading name The Museum Leather Company in 2002 for that market. In 1996 we started working in the jewellery market making colourful leather packaging for jewellers under the company The Jeweller’s Box Company (see www.thejewellersboxcompany.com for more information). We now also supply glasses cases to the optical industry under the banner of LU Optical (see www.leatherunlimited.co.uk).
Over the years we have supplied very familiar names in the museum world in Europe and the States with custom products for their own shops. We are hoping to expand our clientele by offering our ready made ranges of products to smaller institutions and gift shops.
